CONSERVE WATER

Kia orana,

Please be advised the low water pressure or lack of water some residents are experiencing in various parts of the island, is caused by the current dry spell and low levels in our intake streams that feeds into the water network.

This is especially affecting those that are located off the back road around the island and on elevated ground. Water entering our catchments has dropped off and we aren’t getting enough volume into the system to sustain pressure in some locations.

TO THAT END WE URGE EVERYBODY TO CONSERVE WATER

Please do not water gardens and lawns everyday

Please water plantations between 6am – 10am and 6pm – 10pm

No filling up of new or existing pools, ponds or watering hard surfaces

Please do not run livestock water continuously

No car wash fundraisers or washing houses

Report any leaks on the roadside or vacant land to TTV
