SAVE WATER - TAPOROPORO TE VAI
Kia orana
Water levels in our streams and intakes have not improved despite recent rain and have continued to drop with some catchments still very low. Unfortunately, this means there will be low to no water pressure at times in various locations around the island especially off the back road districts and elevated ground.
Without sustained rain up in the high valleys for several days to replenish our intakes the problem of low pressure will continue. Our water network supply is limited to what is feeding into the system so we are asking the community to please reduce your water usage. Every little bit helps.
To that end we urge everybody to PLEASE SAVE WATER
Please do not water gardens and lawns everyday
Please water plantations between 6am – 10am and 6pm – 10pm
No filling up of new or existing pools, ponds or watering hard surfaces
Please do not run livestock water continuously
NO CAR WASHES and house washing
Report any leaks on the road to TTV
